Iran's Iron Guard religious dictators have stifled every scream

Kazemeini Boroujerdi’s letter addressed to the Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly has been released by the "Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran"

To Maina Kiai, Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association,
Greetings to you. What is happening today in Iran is absolute repression and censorship of the media and press, with no free and independent news sources available to the oppressed Iranian people.
On the one had, the people are blocked from seeing and hearing accurate information from both inside and outside Iran. On the other hand, using false statistics and advertising propaganda, the Iranian government deceives it's plundered and impoverished people. Then, despite being brutally repressed and their free speech stifled, the people still on occasion protest against this religious dictatorship. But those protests are always crushed in their infancy by the regime's Iron Guard.
As a spiritual leader in Iran, I always spoke out against the violence and cruelty of the religious tyranny here which has caused so much suffering and death. For speaking out, I will be in prison for life. I have already spent 7 years in horrendous prison conditions, including severe physical, mental, and family torture. I have been denied a lawyer and all medical care. As a result, I am painfully dying from treatable medical conditions.
I request that you intercede using all available means to ensure that the Iranian people can protest against their cruel and tyrannical rulers, so that the children of this land can finally throw off the shackles of 33 years of trampled rights, and take back the nation's enormous wealth and resources from the Revolution's thieves and assassins for the benefit of all the Iranian people.
From my prison cage, I pray for freedom and success to all the peacemakers and freedom lovers.
Seyed Hossein Kazemeini Boroujerdi
