10-06-2010

The letter of Ms.Victoria Azad to Dr.Ban Ki-Moon, The secretary – General of the United Nation and Human Rights Agencies

2010-06-09

To:
Dr. Ban ki-Moon, The secretary – General of the United Nation
Dr. Navi Pilay, The high commissar for UN Human Rights
Europe Union Human Rights Commission
Amnesty International
Human Rights Watch

Your Excellency!
According to recent events and evidence put forward by various independent human right organizations, the Islamic republic of Iran has put the people under immense pressure and dissidents are being imprisoned under false accusations such as “acting against national security”, espionage and even high treason.
These detainees are tortured both physically and mentally and now the government is using increased executions as a deterrent method.
We are sure that you are well informed on the recent five political executions and no doubt additional executions will take place.

Statement by Ayatollah Boroujerdi

June 2010
In the name of God, beautiful and merciful,

In memory of the creator who forbade oppression and ordered kindness. Thanks to a religion that did not permit tyranny and condemned dictatorship.
Lord: now that our people are burned in the injustice of the state religion […] I am prepared for a red death and will reveal the crimes of a political Islam through my death.
Lord: long years of torment of this government have led to the collapse of my organs and destruction of my life. I do not forget the moment when one of the leaders in Palestine was released from an Israeli prison after a long time and we saw him on television: fit, healthy and cheery; contradicting all negative propaganda in the ruling media about the prisons in Israel. Comparing this with my own situation as an independent religious leader shows a horrific reality.

The intensification of governmental actions for ruining some of prisoners

During last days ideological and political prisoners have been put in more pressures. An official of Evin prison said that he has been forced to give a poisoning thing to Mr. Boroujerdi furtively and when he was sleeping!
At the moment Mr. Boroujerdi’s physical condition is very grave, he is suffering from inflammation in his feet and severe pain in his bone and joints as he is unable to move, but in spite of this matter, the relevant authorities even refuse to give him sedatives.
